Calligraphy can be used for so much more than just invitations, and Stowe-based "birch & quill" offers a variety of custom pieces to add subtle and stylish details to your special day.

Proprietor Bailey Hines says her offerings have expanded and changed based on customer requests, and she’s always open to custom orders. From table numbers and name cards to large signs for the ceremony and reception, Hines can customize colors and styles to match any scheme.

What’s on deck for 2017? “I am loving the non-traditional place card trend that is popping up,” Hines said. “Tiles, stones and other objects are being used instead of paper and it is a really unique, special touch for the guests. Right now I have ceramic tiles and Vermont slate stone escorts available in my shop and I’m planning on continuing to expand that non-traditional category as we move into spring.”
