The ladies of the Country Club of Vermont in Waterbury hosted their annual Member-Guest Tournament on Friday, with the Caribbean theme “Birdies in Paradise.” The weather was beautiful, the course was in prime condition, and several ladies were spotted wearing bright Caribbean colors.
Some great golf was played as well. First net and overall tournament winners were the team of Ann Rainey, Diane Peters, Kathy Sikora and Nancy Devaux.
The best gross score was shot by the team of Doris Wildes, Jane Horton, Nanette Stevens and Catherine Hellman.
Other winners included: second net, Cheryll Patty, Ingela Lucey, Claudia Elliman and MJ Shaw; third net, Patty Foltz, Sue Maslowski, Kathy Paganis and Louise Simonds; fourth net, Amy Baraw, Marion Baraw, Susan Waterman and Gloria Barbano Weyl; fifth net, Amalia Reisman, Joyce Racine, Linda Maney and Dee Rollins; sixth net, Frances McCune, Dana Cassidy, Charlotte Macleay and Josie Herrara; seventh net, Lisa Carrick, Cheri Campbell, Ginny Chenoweth and Karen Erlandson.
Second gross, Carol Campbell, Lu Ann Dillon, Linda O’Brien and Jerrine Gangas; and third gross: Denise Holmberg, Lisa Trubiano, Amy Gregory and Cathy Gregory.
