Tuesday, July 15, was the 11th evening of the Skeet and Trap Season at the Waterbury-Stowe Fish and Game Club, 5350 Route 100 in Waterbury.

Another good turnout, and filming of a video at the club did not get in the way.

Skeet Field 2 was used by several club members and guests for practice rounds of skeet. In other words, their names do not have to appear in the paper.

The following scores were posted on Skeet Field 1:

Dave Laskey 22

Don Duquette 18

Chris Miller 18

Lance Mansfield 16

Andrew Matt 15

The rules of this Olympic sport challenge the shooter, using a shotgun, to break up to 25 airborne clay pigeons from eight fixed stations around a large semicircle.

Anyone interested in trap shooting is welcome to stop by on Tuesday evening or contact us. Family memberships are available for $45 per year. Membership is not required for the regular Tuesday night clay pigeon events, held 4:30 to 7:30 ish. The cost for a round of skeet or trap is $4. Bring your own shells and shotgun. All are welcome.
