A Waterbury man, caught up in a family disturbance in Cabot, has been charged with violating court orders for curfew and alcohol use.

David L. Trombley, 61, was taken into custody Tuesday at 10:08 p.m.

A woman called Vermont State Police to report Trombley was at the house in Cabot, was intoxicated and was causing problems. A routine check showed Trombley was under court-set conditions for earlier problems, including a ban on alcohol use and a requirement that he stay at his Waterbury home at all times.

Before police arrived in Cabot, Trombley left the area on foot, but was quickly found. He declined a breath test, but was visibly intoxicated, police said.

He’s due in Washington County Superior Court on Dec. 3.
