June 29 at 2:32 p.m., a backpack containing a cell phone and iPod was reported lost during the Not Quite Independence Day festivities at Farr’s Field.

June 29 at 4:40 p.m., assisted Vermont State Police in searching for a white Subaru near the Waterbury Reservoir after receiving a report the woman driving the vehicle might be intoxicated, and had passengers in the car.

June 29 at 10:12 p.m., foot patrol downtown.

July 1 at 12:09 p.m., a wallet found at Champlain Farms was returned to its owner.

July 2 at 11:09 a.m., foot patrol downtown.

July 2 at 1:02 p.m., unlocked a car at 80 S. Main St.

July 2 at 7 p.m., a sign was removed from the corner of Ashford Lane and Acorn Drive. The Ashford Lane Homeowners Association had placed the sign there, reminding residents of new laws about dog ownership there. The sign, valued at $100 to $150, has not been located.

July 3 at 2:12 p.m., medication taken from lunchbox at Old Stagecoach Inn at 18 N. Main St.

July 5 at 12:47 a.m., issued a ticket for underage drinking on South Main Street.

July 5 at 2:21 p.m., wallet lost at Ben & Jerry’s was returned to its owner.

July 5 at 4:46 p.m., assisted state police in transporting a drunken, out-of-control woman from a location on Route 2 to Central Vermont Medical Center.

July 5 at 5:04 p.m., gas drive-off at Billings Mobil. Driver was located and returned to the store the following Monday to pay for the gas.

July 6 at 12:48 p.m., possible gun activity reported at 64 S. Main St. There, an officer found a woman with mental health issues who repeatedly calls police while possibly experiencing hallucinations. The woman reported a man had been shot, but the officer found no one injured and no weapons there. Officer followed up with Washington County Mental Health Services; officials there knew about the woman’s condition and they planned to contact her to offer assistance.

July 7 at 2:27 p.m., two-car accident on Route 100 near Executive Car Care. No injuries.

July 7 at 4 p.m., foot patrol downtown.

July 7 at 5:33 p.m., issued tickets for a man driving erratically in the village.

July 7 at 6:31 p.m., Tanya Lynn Larose, 51, was given a ticket for petit larceny after allegedly taking items from Shaw’s Supermarket. A store employee alleged Larose placed multiple items in her purse before checking out and leaving the store. Police allege Larose hid $52.94 worth of items in her purse — two packages of bacon, Kool Aid drink packets, a block of extra sharp cheddar cheese, Velveeta and ground beef. Larose is due in Washington County Superior Court Sept. 11.

July 8 at 4:09 p.m., a woman who applied for victim services became upset with police when immediate relief was not available, because her situation didn’t warrant it. Her application was accepted for review.

July 8 at 9:48 p.m., assisted state police in serving a citation and temporary restraining order.

July 8 at 10:13 p.m., a welfare check was requested on a possible missing woman. Police informed the caller that the woman was no longer being reported as missing.

July 8 at 10:20 p.m., call for another safety check on a woman and her children. Police asked the caller to contact state police who, at the time of the phone call, were actually speaking with the woman and her children.

July 9 at 12:56 p.m., burglar alarm downtown canceled after correct code was entered.

July 9 at 2:30 p.m., vehicle identification number inspection.

July 9 at 2:42 p.m., foot patrol downtown.

July 9 at 5:27 p.m., landscape trailer was allegedly blocking roadway near Mill Street. Trailer was removed from road before police arrived.

July 10 at 9:39 a.m., a stained glass lamp and a trunk were stolen from the porch at Early Vermont Antiques at 1320 Waterbury Stowe Road. The items remain missing.

July 12 at 8:48 a.m., an unruly man was asked to stay away from Waterbury Pharmacy at 149 S. Main St. after allegedly arguing with customers and employees. The man, who police said has mental health issues, then went to Kinney Drugs at 80 S. Main St. to complain about the other pharmacy. An officer later spoke with the man’s caretaker, and she agreed to keep him inside the rest of the day.

July 12 at 9:48 a.m., foot patrol downtown.

July 12 at 11:34 a.m., assisted with traffic control downtown.

July 12 at 1:22 p.m., a wallet containing $16, a credit card and driver’s license was turned in to police. The items still need to be claimed.

July 12 at 11:20 p.m., assisted state police with a traffic stop.

July 13 at 12:23 a.m., assisted state police after receiving a call about a pickup truck driving the wrong way on Interstate 89 near mile marker 53.

July 13 at 9:50 a.m., a caller reported a pickup truck towing a trailer was being driven erratically on Route 100 in Waterbury Center, near Cold Hollow Cider Mill. The truck was allegedly speeding and passing multiple cars at once. It was not located.

July 13 at 10:17 a.m., assisted broken-down car on Route 100 near the Interstate 89 off-ramp until tow truck arrived.

July 13 at 12:07 p.m., dispatched to 21 Stowe St. after caller had an argument with a group of motorcyclists about loud exhausts and fumes entering the store. Caller was concerned about retaliation. Officer said she would check back in later in the day for an update.

July 13 at 12:36 a.m., a driver’s license, receipts and $15 were turned in to police. Officer was unable to reach the owner of the items.

July 14 at 9:20 a.m., woman called to report she’d lost her identification, debit card and cash wrapped in a rubber band.

July 14 at 12:58 p.m., a 23-year-old man from Florida was reported trying to offer alcohol to teens.

July 14 at 4:53 p.m., assisted with lockout at 52 N. Main St.

July 14 at 5:30 p.m., woman caller said she was fed up with her boyfriend and current living arrangements. She asked police for help in finding new housing and assistance. Woman said her boyfriend was intoxicated all weekend and was passed out. Man spoke to officer who went to the home, and said he was fine.

July 14 at 7:45 p.m., checked on dog in parked car. Officer said the car was parked in a shady spot with the windows rolled down and the dog was fine.

July 15 at 12:02 p.m., went back to residence where woman was upset with her intoxicated boyfriend and living arrangements. Officer said the man appeared to be heavily intoxicated and was taken by ambulance to Central Vermont Medical Center for a checkup.

July 15 at 5:02 p.m., two-vehicle accident involving a Green Mountain Transit Agency bus and silver Subaru Forester near Lincoln and Stowe streets. Minor damage and no injuries reported.

July 15 at 9:51 p.m., foot patrol downtown.

July 16 at 4:22 p.m., vehicle identification number inspection.

July 16 at 7:16 p.m., assisted state police investigating report of an open door at the Country Club of Vermont in Waterbury Center.

July 16 at 8:10 p.m., foot patrol downtown.

July 16 at 9:52 p.m., helped 25 student cyclists and their chaperones with directions to an overnight camping location.

July 17 at 8:27 p.m., caller reported someone breaking tree branches at Wesley United Methodist Church at 56 S. Main St.

July 18 at 9:52 a.m., an iPhone that was reported stolen was tracked down at a residence in Moretown. Officer went to the home and no one was there, but he saw the phone inside. The homeowner later called the officer to say that, while jogging, the phone was found, and asked that it be returned to the owner.

July 18 at 10:56 a.m., 911 hang-up call.

July 18 at 3:50 p.m., minor accident in parking lot near Bridgeside Books. Owners exchanged insurance information.

July 18 at 6:40 p.m., Billings Mobil employee reported someone kept calling, asking for the name of a female employee there.

July 19 at 1:15 a.m., assisted state police with noise issues at Crossroads Motorcycle Rally at Farr’s Field.

July 19 at 11:39 p.m., assisted state police with intoxicated caller on Stevens Brook Road in Duxbury.


Fire Blotter

July 2 at 9:52 a.m., call canceled en route to Stowe Fire Department for station coverage, while Stowe firefighters went to a structure fire at Smugglers’ Notch Resort.

July 7 at 2:25 p.m., helped clean up debris after a three-car accident on Route 100 near the car wash. No injuries.

July 7 at 3 p.m., stood by at Stowe Fire Department while Stowe firefighters responded to a structure fire at the Mountain Road Resort at 1007 Mountain Road.
