A Florida man is accused of assaulting someone in Waterbury early Saturday morning. Aristotelis Tsimis, 28, of Englewood, Fla., faces a charge of domestic assault, according to police.

Vermont State Police and the Waterbury Police Department responded to a 911 hang-up call at 12:05 a.m. on May 25. Based on their investigation, troopers determined Tsimis had committed the crime of domestic assault, they said.

Tsimis was arrested and lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility on $1,500 bail. He was scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Tuesday, May 27.
