Aug. 12 at 12:34 p.m., woman with a recently issued relief-from-abuse order against her husband wanted to know if he could still legally possess a gun.
Aug. 12 at 3:03 p.m., accidental activation of emergency button inside elevator at Main Street Fire Station at 43 S. Main St.

Aug. 13 at 1:22 p.m., police helped a person locked out of a vehicle at Dac Rowe Field on Main Street.
Aug. 14 at 12:56 p.m., more problems with armory alarm system.
Aug. 14 at 1:35 p.m., background investigation for a license-to-carry application from New Hampshire.
Aug. 15 at 9:45 p.m., $250 worth of items shoplifted from Stowe Street Emporium at 23 Stowe St., and it appears a store window was tampered with.
Aug. 15 at 4:36 p.m., license plate stolen from a car near 32 S. Main St.
Aug. 16 at 1:11 p.m., minimal damage in hit-and-run at Dac Rowe Field on Main Street.
Aug. 16 at 9:10 p.m., a credit card found at Subway at 149 S. Main St. was turned over to police.
Aug. 16 at 11:11 p.m., officer remained on duty while another officer assisted state police with a call in Duxbury.
Aug. 17 at 12:11 a.m., unlocked a car in the Best Western Hotel parking lot at 45 Blush Hill Road.
Aug. 17 at 12:51 p.m., brake failure caused a one-car accident at the Mobil gas station at 758 Waterbury-Stowe Road. No injuries, but a fence was damaged.
Aug. 17 at 10:28 a.m., a man from South Carolina reported receiving a $1,037 bill from Green Mountain Power though he has not lived in Vermont for 19 years and never lived in Waterbury. Police suspect mistaken identity.
Aug. 17 at 12:37 p.m., after nearly hitting a small child on a bicycle near Park Row, a driver called to say kids there were not looking out for cars. An officer spoke with the children and parents about safety.
Aug. 17 at 1:15 p.m., a handicapped permit was stolen from a vehicle at 6 N. Main St.
Aug. 18 at 5:05 p.m., assisted state police at a standoff in Duxbury.
Aug. 18 at 5:57 p.m., foot patrol downtown.
Aug. 18 at 10:50 p.m., broke up a verbal argument at a North Main Street residence and asked everyone to quiet down.
Aug. 18 8:13 a.m., attempted to serve a citation on a Barre City man who rented a 16-inch chain saw from True Value Hardware at 838 Waterbury-Stowe Road and had not returned it, despite repeated requests.
Aug. 19 at 5:53 p.m., foot patrol downtown.
Aug. 19 at 10:21 p.m., foot patrol downtown.
Aug. 20 at 4:21 p.m., dispatcher error.
Aug. 21 at 8:43 a.m., two-car accident in the Waterbury Medical Associates parking lot at 130 S. Main St. with minor damage and no injuries.
Aug. 21 at 11:30 p.m., a blue 2010 Chevy Malibu crashed into a utility pole near 29 Winooski St. When the officer arrived, three teenagers were sitting near the car. In speaking with the driver, Nicole DeFreest, 17, of Warren, the officer noticed a faint smell of alcohol. A test showed her blood-alcohol content was 0.10 percent, above the 0.08 considered proof of intoxicated. She was charged with driving under the influence and will have to pay $5,000 to replace the utility pole. The accident is still under investigation, police said.
Aug. 23 at 4:14 p.m., no injuries in a minor accident at the Mobil gas station at 758 Waterbury-Stowe Road.
Aug. 23 at 6:20 p.m., transported mental health patient from 5 Moody Court to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin for treatment.
Aug. 23 at 8:22 p.m., assisted state police with an incident at Stowe and Union streets.
Aug. 23 at 8:53 p.m., assisted state police at an accident near mile marker 63 on Interstate 89.
