Cancel the “interim”: Claire Kendall and Joe Ferrada are now the permanent co-executive directors of the Family Center of Washington County.
They became interim directors Jan. 1, after Lee Lauber, founding executive director of the agency, retired. Together, they guided the family center in its mission of fostering the growth and development of young children and their families.
The arrangement has worked so well that Kendall, the programs and services director, and Ferrada, the finance and operations director, have agreed to accept the permanent jobs as co-directors.
They have served the family center for more than 25 years combined and have broad experience managing the organization.
The Family Center is one of 15 parent-child centers in Vermont.
