A story in last week’s paper about Duxbury’s special town meeting contained an error. The amount of money leftover from a $350,000 loan after the town pays what it owes to Merchants Bank would be around $122,000.
Also, in an April 17 story about an audit of Duxbury’s financial records, select board chair Dick Charland was slightly misquoted. The quote should have read: “... there is no question that a fraud was perpetrated on the town that its financial affairs were not being handled according to sound fiscal practice.”
