Jazzercise Waterbury, located inside Dave’s Community Fitness, is under new ownership. Former owner Mona Eckfledt still works there as one of four instructors.
The new owners are Michele Catella and Kristen Brown. Catella took her first Jazzercise class in 2001. She became a monitor assistant for Jazzercise Inc. in 2008 and was promoted to quality control coordinator in 2009. She has also owned and operated the Burlington Jazzercise Fitness Center since 2011.
Brown joined her first Jazzercise class in 1998. She later decided to become an instructor and, in 2009, became a quality control coordinator for Jazzercise Inc. She also works for GE Healthcare.
Jazzercise Waterbury’s other three instructors are Bille Jo Raymond, Chantal Bove and Karolyn White. Kym Andrews, a local certified health coach, has also joined the team as a class manager and business assistant.
