Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. is hoping to change its name to Keurig Green Mountain Inc.

The Waterbury-based company will ask its shareholders to approve the name change at its annual meeting on March 6 in Burlington, according to the Burlington Free Press.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters took full ownership of Keurig about seven years ago. Since then, sales of Keurig single-cup brewing systems have driven enormous growth for the company.

CEO Brian Kelley told the Free Press consumers would not notice any difference due to the name change. The company’s roasted coffee would still be called Green Mountain Coffee.
