Vermont Business Magazine has announced the winners of its Rising Stars recognition award — 40 people under of 40.
They were selected by a panel of judges for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence and involvement in their communities.
In all, 240 people were nominated. The awards will be presented Nov. 7 at the Delta Hotel in South Burlington.
Among the winners:
• Vincent Petrarca, 35, of The Blue Stone, a resident of Middlesex.
• Jenna Koloski, 32, of the Vermont Council on Rural Development, a resident of Huntington.
• Angela Lavalla, 34, of Vermont Teddy Bear, a resident of Richmond.
• Benjamin Cadwallader, 35, of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, a resident of Burlington.
The 40 honorees include 25 women and 15 men; 15 are from Chittenden County, eight from Windham County, seven from Rutland County, three from Bennington County, two from Caledonia County, and one each from Washington, Lamoille, Franklin, Addison and Orange counties. They range in age from 25 to 39; the average age is 33.
