The Waterbury Winterfest 2015 Committee has been planning a series of fun family winter events.
The third annual Waterbury Winterfest will kick off on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bridgeside Books on Stowe Street. At the Winterfest silent auction and reception, people are invited to bid on auction items, and to support the event sponsors and the town.
Also at the reception, the Winterfest 2015 calendar will be revealed, showing all the events scheduled through Sunday, Feb. 8. Organizers and the individual event planners will be on hand.
Local sponsors will be part of ceremonies on Friday, Jan. 29, that will open Winterfest; the ceremonies will be on Stowe Street.
