A River Runs Through It Garden Club will hold its 15th annual plant sale on Saturday, May 24, from 9 a.m. to noon at Rusty Parker Park in Waterbury, rain or shine. Children will receive a potted plant.
Over 600 annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables have been grown by dedicated garden club members in their own gardens. Club members will be available to answer gardening questions.
The club sponsored the plantings in the community gardens after the devastation of Tropical Storm Irene. This past year, the club donated $500 to the Waterbury Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program.
