The Waterbury Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Wesley Methodist Church, 56 S. Main St. The business meeting begins at 7 p.m. and the program at 7:30.

Skip Flanders will present “Along the Tracks of Waterbury,” the story of what has occurred along the railroad tracks from 1849 to 2014. The arrival of the Central Vermont Railroad in 1849 led to a boom in business and industry. There will be photographs and stories highlighting 165 years of the railroad’s influence on commerce and change in the town. Community members are welcome to share stories about the railroad. Refreshments will be served. Information: Betty Jones, 244-8089.
