Mildred Francis “Milly” Derosia, 76, died peacefully March 12, 2014, after a period of declining health at Westwood Care and Rehab Center in Keene, N.H. She was born in Hardwick July 18, 1937, daughter of Herbert and Florence Coolbeth.

She lived in Waterbury; Gardner, Mass.; and several years in Troy, Winchester and Keene, N.H. She worked for local businesses including Findings Inc. and Douglas Toy.

Milly was a devoted mother and welcomed many foster children into her home. She loved to be with family and friends and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid bear collector. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and created many beautiful blankets, which she donated for raffle or gave away as gifts.

Survivors include her children Wayne E. Derosia Jr. and his wife Annala of Harrisville, N.H., Leo A. Derosia of Berlin, N.H., Joseph W. Derosia of Keene, N.H., and Stephen A. Derosia and his wife Trisha of Keene, N.H.; grandchildren Annala M. “Missy” Derosia and fiancé Johnson Fortunato, Kenneth W. Derosia and his wife Nicole, Shealyn A. Derosia and William E. Derosia; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. Along with her parents, a daughter, Annette R. Derosia, a brother, Walter Coolbeth of Waterbury, and sister Barbara Wagner of Barre all died earlier.

A special thanks to everyone at Westwood Care and Rehab Center who cared for Milly in the last years of her life.

A private gathering will be held later at the Hope Cemetery in Waterbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Westwood Care and Rehab/Activities Dept., 298 Main St., Keene, NH 03431.
