A new art show, “The Power of One: Ten Years of Inspired Floral Art and Design,” celebrating the work of Waterbury resident Ned Davis, has opened at Waterbury Congregational Church at the White Meeting House, 8 N. Main St., Waterbury.
The show will run through Wednesday, Dec. 9.
Davis will talk on Sunday, Nov. 22, at noon about his inspiration and technical aspects of implementing his design ideas. The event is free and the public is welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
Davis, who owns the Vermont Academy of Floral Design, was commissioned 10 years ago as the country’s first minister of liturgical floral design. He has created weekly installations for the White Meeting House, using flowers to explore ideas of spirit, challenge and grace.
The public is welcome to see the artwork, free of charge, Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment through Dec. 9. Information: 244-6606.
