The Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District will host a meeting Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thatcher Brook Elementary School, 47 Stowe St., Waterbury.
Everyone is welcome to discuss soil and water conservation problems throughout the Winooski Conservation District, which covers Chittenden and Washington counties and parts of Orange County. Comments will help the district set priorities for projects and grant applications for 2015, including funding from the Natural Resources Conservation Services.
This is an opportunity to offer thoughts on natural resources, from urban runoff to invasive species
“Everyone can help shape the work of the district, the types of programs we offer, the technical assistance we provide, and how funding is distributed,” said Sophie Sauve, the district manager. “It’s essential for everyone to know that their opinion matters and that this is their chance to come out and meet others who have similar concerns.”
Information, or RSVP for the meeting: Call Sauve at 802-828-4493, ext. 110, or email sophie@winooskinrcd.org.
