Two Waterbury winners were announced at the state American Legion Auxiliary fall conference Oct. 18 in Barre. Their efforts were supported by the Harry N. Cutting American Legion Auxiliary Unit 59 of Waterbury.
The Community Service Award for a Junior Member went to Destiny Gibbs, who is president of the Harry N. Cutting Junior Unit.
The Unit Activity Award for Children and Youth went to Terri Christie.
Three Waterbury members — Bella Preedom, Loleta Perry and Terri Christie — were among 79 delegates from around the state who attended the conference for awards ceremonies and a rundown on the year’s plans.
