The Friends of Waterbury Reservoir will hold their kick-off event for the 2014 spring and summer projects on Wednesday, April 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Green Mountain Club Hiker Center in Waterbury Center. All are welcome. There is no charge but registration is requested because space is limited.

Guest speakers from the Rozalia Project for a Clean Ocean and the Vermont Loon Recovery Program will be featured, volunteer sign-ups will be available and information will be shared about battling and preventing aquatic nuisance species like Brittle Naiad and Eurasian Watermilfoil.
