Sept-3-S-Girls-Free-Hockey-SC

Thanks to the Chittenden South Burlington (CSB) Hockey Association, girls ages 14 and under can give ice hockey a try Saturday, Sept. 20 from 2:20-3:20pm at Cairns Arena Rink 1 in South Burlington. St. Michaels College women hockey players will teach the fundamentals while interested participants should bring a willingness to try a new sport and the following equipment: skates (free rentals at Cairns Arena), helmet (hockey, bike or ski), eye protection (hockey mask or ski goggles), gloves (hockey or winter), hockey stick (extras will be on hand), and knee/elbow pads are recommended in case of a fall (some will be available).

The 2014-2015 hockey season officially begins next month but the organization welcomes new girls anytime during the season. As incentive to attend the free trial, CSB will offer all those in attendance 50 percent off a new registration in any girls program offered including mini-mites, U8, U10, U12, and U14.

To learn more about CSB visit www.csbhockey.com. For more information about the free hockey trial contact CSB Director of the Girls Hockey Program Scott Bushweller at girlsdirector@csbhockey.com or 922-4642.

Please note: Play It Again Sports in South Burlington allows girls to try its used hockey equipment on a trial basis for up to one week. If your daughter likes the sport your credit card will be charged. If your daughter does not like hockey, simply return the equipment to Play It Again Sports within a week at no cost.
