Twenty-four Charlotte Central School students attended the Vermont State Middle School Fitness Competition at Norwich University on April 30. The four fitness teams from Charlotte joined 600 other Vermont student-athletes to compete in four events: the mile run, pushups, curlups, and sit and reach flexibility.

Participants on the 5/6 boys team included William Berkowitz, Henry Bijur, Sean Gilliam, Carter Harvey, Ben Sampson, and Fritz Wetzell. The 5/6 girls team participants include: Finn Mittelstadt, Malinn Sigler, Chloe Silverman, Taylor Vincent, Makayla Urie, and Olivia Zubarik. Max Gorman, Gus Lunde, Alden Randall, Sam Sturim, Ben Vincent, and Ben Wetzell comprised the 7/8 boys team. While the girls 7/8 team included the following: Quinn Boardman, AugustaClaire Burhans, Lily Cazayoux, Elizah Jacobs, Isabelle Mittelstadt, and Caroline Reynolds.

Awards were given to the following students for individual performances in each event, to the following teams for performance in each event, and to individuals for overall team performances for the four events combined.
