Friends since grade school, Elliott Mitchell and Hoyt McCuin both of Hinesburg, began playing lacrosse together in the third grade. Over the years the boys became three-sport athletes, adding soccer and ice hockey to their repertoire. Regardless of their varied interests, over the last six summers the boys have focused on lacrosse and have logged more time at lacrosse tournaments and showcases than any other sport.

Their dedication to the lacrosse recently paid off. Teammates on back-to-back State Championship teams for Champlain Valley Union High School, the pair will ultimately compete against each other at their prospective D-I college lacrosse programs. Mitchell has verbally committed to the University of Vermont for 2015, while McCuin has verbally committed to the University at Albany for 2016.
