Vroom, vroom! Beep, Beep! It’s that time of year again! On Saturday, May 16 big trucks galore roll into Hinesburg for Big Truck Day and Children’s Festival 2015. Hinesburg Nursery School (HNS) hosts this annual event, now in its 17th year, which lets youngsters and their families get up close to (and even climb inside!) their favorite big trucks and vehicles.
The action all takes place behind HNS and Hinesburg Community School. This year the lot will be packed with construction vehicles, a school bus, firetrucks and other rescue vehicles, tractors and utility vehicles for children of all ages to see, touch and explore.
After the kids are done investigating the big trucks, they can enjoy games and crafts, face painting by Snow Queen, story time for little ones and more. Adults and children alike can fill up on tasty BBQ and goodies from the bake sale. Plus there will be live musical entertainment by the John Daly Trio (11am-1pm).
Admission is just $5 per child. Adult admission is free. So bring your camera, your appetite and your friends for a day full of fun! Have sensitive ears? Don’t worry—the event will be horn free from 9:45am until 1pm.
Sponsors of Big Truck Day and Children’s Festival include Vermont Gas Systems, Inc. and Village Car Company; as well as Community Supporters: Lantman’s Market, Timberlane Dental Group, Murdoch Hughes and Twarog, GreenTree Real Estate, Kohn Rath Danon and Appel LLP, Renewable NRG Systems, Parent Construction, Inc., Hart & Mead, and Senix Corporation.
Proceeds from the event benefit HNS, a nonprofit, STARS certified, state licensed parent-cooperative preschool for children ages 3 through 5. For more information visit www.hinesburgnurseryschool.org.
