A group of about 40 farmers, gardeners, homesteaders, and community members came together in Charlotte to enjoy good food, great conversation, and a tour of the farm and facilities at Adam’s Berry Farm July 23.

“This was one of NOFA-VT’s On-Farm Socials that exist to create time for the community to enjoy farm-fresh pizza and the opportunity to meet their local farmers, community members and friends,” said Rachel Fussell, NOFA-VT’s Education Coordinator.

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont is a nonprofit association of farmers, gardeners, and consumers working to promote an economically viable and ecologically sound Vermont food system for the benefit of current and future generations.

“We are a membership organization that provide farm and food education to all Vermonters, technical assistance to growers, and increase food access across the state,” Fussell said.

NOFA-VT baked dinner for everyone at the event in their wood-fired oven, and conducted a tour of the production fields. Adam’s Berry Farm is a certified organic farm raising strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
