Stowe Performing Arts’ 43rd annual Music in the Meadow series continues on Sunday, July 21, at 7 p.m. when the Bumper Jacksons take the stage in the Trapp Family Lodge concert meadow. Gates open at a new time — 5:30 p.m. — for pre-concert picnicking. The band is hot and sweet, painting America’s story from the streets of New Orleans to Appalachian hollers. This six-piece ensemble balances paying homage to traditional music while fashioning its own unique, playful style. Lead vocalist Jess Eliot Myhre brings an astounding vocal range, drawing on musical experiences from small churches to large venues. Bumper Jacksons have been honored multiple times as the Mid-Atlantic’s Artist of the Year and Best Traditional Band at the Washington Area Music Awards. More info and tickets: stoweperformingarts.com.
