Siam Valley Thai Restaurant

Morristowners didn’t have to remain curious very long about what was next for the place that once housed an A&W snack bar and numerous restaurants since then at 387 Brooklyn Street.

Siam Valley Thai Restaurant opened last week.

Thai-born owner Pantita Pasukdee said the place has been busy and the feedback positive, even as she works through the kinks associated with any new restaurant.

“About my food, it’s great. But Sunday, people wait a little bit long,” she said.

Pantita has lived in Stowe since 2004 and this is her first restaurant. She said the bright orange paint made some people think the A&W had come back.

The menu covers all the Thai notes, with an array of curries, rice dishes, noodle dishes, soups, appetizers and desserts, none of them more than $10. There’s also a house special menu with more elaborate fare featuring, among other proteins, duck and sea bass.

Siam Valley is open every day, with lunch and dinner served Monday through Saturday — dinner only on Sundays. For take-out, call 802-851-8427.
