Hayley Jane and The Grift to play at the benefit concert for Lamoille Housing Partnership at Stowe Cider on Saturday, Nov. 18.

There’s No Place Like Home, a benefit concert and silent auction for Lamoille Housing Partnership, will take place at Stowe Cider on Saturday, Nov. 18, starting at 8 p.m.

“Home is where we rest, spend time with family and gather with friends, age, feel safe, cook meals, do homework, heal. There’s no place like it,” said Kerrie Lohr, advancement and communications director for the partnership. “Increasingly, local families with children and adults at every age and ability are at risk of losing their home or cannot afford a home.

Village Center Apartments, Lamoille Housing Partnership’s recently completed affordable housing development repurposed an unused infill lot into 24 income eligible, affordable rental apartments for lower- and moderate-income households.

At the upcoming benefit a hybrid online and in-person silent auction features ski passes and luxury accommodations at local getaways in and around Stowe. The silent auction goes live online from Nov. 15 through Nov. 18 when it will expand to include in-person participation at the event.

Headliners include musical acts such as Hayley Jane backed by a full band, including members of Dopapod and Lara Cwass, plus The Grift, which recently added Josh Panda to its lineup. Jane is known for her vocal intensity and varied styles that include 1960s and 1970s rock, pop, soul, psychedelic, funk and bluegrass.

The Grift blends “booty-shaking grooves and improvisation” with radio-friendly hooks and tight vocal harmonies into an energetic show with a deep catalog of original music blended with roots-rock and pop and jam.

Tickets are by donation; a suggested minimum of $50 and include admission to both bands, event swag and door prizes. All ticket sale and silent auction proceeds, plus a portion of Stowe Cider’s sales the night of the event will benefit Lamoille Housing Partnership, which hopes to raise $50,000.
