Leaf Peeper is a guide to all things fall in the greater Stowe area.
There’s something for all ages and any budget.
This year’s fall foliage contest brought out, far and away, some of the most talented photographers in our 15 years of holding the competition.
When you are out and about during Vermont’s season of the color, be sure to go see Morristown photographer Nan Carle Beauregard’s exhibit, “Notable Sculptors of Barre Gray Granite,” at the Vermont Granite Museum through Oct. 30.

The lost art of siege warfare was alive and well in Lamoille County Sunday as the 12th Pumpkin Chuckin Festival filled the air with the sound of smashing pumpkins.
Folks kicked off autumn, some of them literally, with the annual Rocktoberfest celebration in Morrisville over the weekend.
It’s not just the leaves that are changing this time of year. Peep at just a few seasonally adjusted menus in Stowe this fall.

As the air cools and the leaves turn, the balance to be achieved at the dinner table, according to Chef Michael Kloeti, is in leaning to the comfort the season demands while making the most of what the harvest season offers.
The 10th Leaf Blower Fall Classic Mountain Bike Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, and will be hosted at Ranch Camp restaurant and bike shop on Stowe’s Mountain Road.
Rocktoberfest, Morristown’s annual celebration, returns Saturday, Sept. 25, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., downtown Morrisville.

The Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin Festival returns this fall to Stowe for its 12th year, Sunday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa, Mountain Road, Stowe.
Bread & Puppet holds its annual Political Leaf Peeping to celebrate the fall landscape and the completion of another summer season with an afternoon of music, puppet shows and potato pancakes, Sunday, Sept. 26, 2 p.m., Bread & Puppet farm, 753 Heights Road, Glover.
Indigenous Peoples’ Day Rocks! returns to Stowe and the Mayo field Saturday, Oct. 9, 10:30-2:30 p.m., with a concert from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
