Stamp show at Champlain Expo
The annual Chittenden County Stamp Show is Saturday, June 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction. There is no entrance fee and the public is welcome. Dealers will be selling postage stamps, old letters, postcards and accessories; they are also available to evaluate and buy stamps. The event is sponsored by the Chittenden County Stamp Club. Sunday music at Magic Hat
The Artifactory at Magic Hat Brewing Co. has announced the lineup for Summer Sunday Sessions, the brewer’s annual free outdoor music series at the brewery, 5 Bartlett Bay Road, South Burlington:
June 7: Josh Panda.
June 14: Stone Bullet, hard rock band.
June 21: The Growlers, acoustic rock.
June 28: Ben Donovan and the Congregation, old-fashioned country, blues, gospel, rock.

Dinosaur film shown at Brandon Town Hall
“The Lost World” (1925), a restored version of the first silent dinosaur film, will be shown Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m. at the Brandon Town Hall. Live music will be performed by Jeff Rapsis, a New Hampshire-based composer and one of the nation’s leading silent film accompanists. The script is an adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s 1912 novel, starring Wallace Beery as Professor Challenger. The film includes rare footage of Arthur Conan Doyle. Opening the program is “The Sign of the Claw” (1926), a rip-roaring police adventure and the only surviving film of dog star Peter the Great. Admission is free; donations are welcome, with all proceeds supporting the town hall’s renovation.
