The Grange Hall Cultural Center invites the public to a celebration and dance party on Friday, Oct. 4 at 317 Howard Ave. in Waterbury Center.

At 6 p.m., a dedication celebration and naming ceremony will be held to honor past Grange #237 longtime members Louise Welch, Annette White and Richard White.

The celebration will include naming, in their honor, the newly installed kitchen and mechanical room as part of the ongoing renovations, sharing of experiences of past days and accomplishments, and refreshments. All Grange members, family and friends are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone with connections or history to the Grange. RSVPs are requested to or 802-244-4168.

After the ceremony, Cookie’s Hot Club (pictured) — D. Davis and Greg Evans on guitar, Peter Lind on harp, Zach Alario on drums and Carrie Cook on bass and kazoo — brings its blend of swing, blues, gypsy jazz, Americana and originals to the dance floor. A suggested donation of $10 benefits the Grange Hall renovation fund. Doors open at 7, and music starts at 7:30 p.m.
