Here’s a rundown of the last two weeks of action in the Hardwick men’s softball league. Games are played every Tuesday on fields in Garfield, Wolcott, Greensboro and East Hardwick.
The Wolfpack pulled away late to get a 21-3 win over the Knights and remain undefeated. The Rebels also broke open a close game late to get an 18-7 win over the Country Boys in a battle for third place, and the Snakes beat Local Electric 18-3. The Outlaws moved a game over .500 with a 14-4 win over the Luddites and Buffalo Mountain had a bye.
Buffalo Mountain Powersports lost a tight one this week to the Rebels, 6-5, but the Wolfpack tripled up the Snakes, 9-3, to stay undefeated at 4-0.
The Wolfpack, the reigning regular season and playoff champs, lost just one regular season game last year before going undefeated in the playoff tournament.
In the other two games this week, the Country Boys beat the Knights 25-2 and the Outlaws beat Local Electric 8-2; the Luddites had a bye.
