Barrington Levy, a pillar of reggae music, performs Sunday at the Rusty Nail. Roots of Creation will open.

Barrington Levy will perform with Roots of Creation at the Rusty Nail, 1190 Mountain Road, Stowe, on Sunday, Aug. 3. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 9:30. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, available at the Rusty Nail or at ticketfly.com.

Barrington Levy has been a pillar of reggae music for decades. The Jamaican-born singer has toured and recorded around the world, sharing stages with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Shaggy, Gregory Isaacs and Stevie Wonder. Levy’s music remains at the top of playlists on every radio station in Jamaica, and dancehalls throughout the world.

Roots of Creation mixes roots and dub reggae with guitar-and-bass-heavy rock and electronica, combining potent music with custom-designed lighting for an energetic and entertaining show.
