Blanchard, 22, was born and raised in France; she now lives in Charlotte. Her music, sung in French and English, reflects on her travels, both physical and emotional, reflecting influences that range from Norah Jones and Carla Bruni to Eva Cassidy and Francoise Hardy. 

Francesca Blanchard performs Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at the River Arts Center, 74 Pleasant St., Morrisville. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a pop-up restaurant featuring sweet and savory crepes by Carole’s Cuisine.

Blanchard, 22, was born and raised in France; she now lives in Charlotte. Her music, sung in French and English, reflects on her travels, both physical and emotional, reflecting influences that range from Norah Jones and Carla Bruni to Eva Cassidy and Francoise Hardy. Blanchard has opened for Suzanne Vega, among others, and performed at the Francofolies Festival in Montreal in 2013. Her first full­-length album will be issued this year.
