• Fresh from the owners of the Reservoir Restaurant and Tap Room in Waterbury: The Bench, a new restaurant and bar soon to inhabit the former Pie in the Sky location at 492 Mountain Road in Stowe, is hiring: bit.ly/1qYndNl.
• The deck is open for business at Prohibition Pig in Waterbury. The two-story brewery building is still under construction, but people are welcome to nosh and sip on the new patio.
• Pete’s Greens Farm Market on the Waterbury-Stowe Road has been approved for a second-class liquor license.
• Stowe will have TWO Oktoberfests to celebrate this year: the 18th annual Rotary Oktoberfest, October 3-5 at the events field, and Trapp Family Lodge’s own celebration Saturday, Sept. 27.
• On the Rise Bakery in Richmond is changing hands: at the end of the month, the owners of Kitchen Table Bistro will take over and rework the space into Parkside Kitchen.
