Thursday, July 2

Burlington

Summervale at the Intervale Center, 5:30-8 p.m. Local food, Slow Food Vermont tastings, mix-your-own herb salts, music by Swale, kids activities and more. Free admission, donations accepted. Event happens every Thursday through Aug. 27. Intervale.org/summervale-2015-line-up.

Saturday, July 4

Stowe

An Old-Fashioned Fourth of July — parade at 1 p.m., followed by food, live music and entertainment in Stowe village, including a pie-eating contest. Stowevibrancy.com.

Morrisville

“All American Holiday” downtown celebration. Parade at 11 a.m., followed by a VFW chicken barbecue, burgers and dogs from the Morrisville Fire Department, slices available from Pizza on Main; performances, music, entertainment. Morristownvt.org.

Jeffersonville

Country fair at Cambridge Elementary school; begins after 10 a.m. parade. Old-fashioned firemen’s barbecue at Smugglers’ Notch Resort, 5 p.m.

Sunday, July 5

Danville

Spirits of Vermont 2015; fundraiser to benefit Pope Memorial Library. Beer, wine and spirits showcase and tastings, food pairings. Tickets: $30, popememoriallibrary.org and at the door. Joe’s Pond Pavilion, West Danville.

Friday-Saturday, July 10-11

Waterbury Arts Fest

Outdoor art gallery and street fair, live music, food and drink in downtown Waterbury.

Friday: Block party sponsored by Prohibition Pig, 5:30-10 p.m. Beer garden and food trucks, music by Kat Wright and more.

Saturday: Arts fest, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 70-plus vendors and artists. Food from Jam Bakery, Juniper’s Fare, Common Kitchen Meatball Co., Roy’s College Dogs and more.

Stowe

Saturday, July 11

South Hero

Islands bike tour, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Ten- or 25-mile route with stops at farms and art studios; wine tasting, wood-fired pizza and a concert at Snow Farm Vineyard. Vermontfarmtours.com.

• The inaugural Stowe Brewers Festival will be held Aug. 14-15 — tickets and info at stowebrewersfestival.com. Additionally, the Ninkasi-Stowe pass gets you special deals at many area businesses Aug. 10-16.

• The Vermont Brewers Festival, held annually on the waterfront in Burlington, is nearly sold out, but a few tickets are left for the first tasting session on July 17 at vtbrewfest.com.
