• Smugglers’ Notch Distillery has opened a tasting room and storefront in Waterbury Center. Father-and-son team Ron and Jeremy Elliott produce award-winning vodka, rum, rye whiskey, bourbon and gin out of their Jeffersonville distillery and barrel house. The new location in the Vermont Annex on the Waterbury-Stowe Road/Route 100 shares a building with the Cabot Annex Store, and is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (closed Dec. 25 and 26, and Jan. 1).
• Phoenix Table and Bar (1652 Mountain Road in Stowe) is accepting reservations for groups of any size, every day through Jan. 4; call 253-2838.
• The Bench (492 Mountain Road in Stowe) is now open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 11:30 a.m.
