Margaret Atwood

Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center, in collaboration with seven regional social justice organizations, will screen Margaret Atwood: Live in Cinemas Interview on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m., at the arts center, 1 Hourglass Lane, Stowe. At a moment when the issues of feminism, gender equality and social justice are at the forefront, this is an opportunity to hear a discussion with Atwood, whose novels are sarcastic jabs at society as well as identity quests. The film celebrates publication of “The Testaments,” Atwood’s highly anticipated sequel to her seminal work, “The Handmaid’s Tale.” With readings by Lily James, a Q&A between Margaret Atwood and Samira Ahmed, and the screening of never-before-seen footage from a documentary on Atwood’s life and work. Adult tickets are $17. sprucepeakarts.org.
