Stowe Squirts A
The Stowe Squirts A Team hosted Central Vermont Skating Association early Saturday morning at the Stowe Arena.
Down a few players, the Raiders had trouble scoring, but it wasn’t for lack of effort. Aaron Lepikko, David Gosselin and Katelyn Prive worked hard on the forward line, and Hayden Tibbits and Avery Rosamilia hounded the puck and back-checked to break up several plays.
Final: CVSA 7, Stowe 0.
On Sunday, Stowe traveled to Gutterson Fieldhouse to face Milton, which came out strong, scoring early in the first period.
Despite Stowe’s give-and-go and constant shifting of play, the Raiders were not able to hold off Milton’s strong offense, which scored two more goals in the first period.
Woody Reichelt cut the deficit by scoring early in the second period, and Stowe found its rhythm in the third period, with scores by Gage Daliere and again by Reichelt.
Stowe’s defensemen, Eames Eiden, Charlie Davidow and Adam Glanz, worked with goalie Andrew Libby to hold the final score to 5-3, Milton.

Stowe Squirts B
The Stowe Squirts B team played two games during the weekend, losing 5-1 to Essex Blue on Saturday and beating Milton B 4-1 on Sunday.
The defense, with Nicholous Lord, Adam Glanz and Nathan Nolan, was solid on both days, with the players getting back to help out. Jesse Brown was stellar in goal, stuffing breakaways and blocking shots, once behind his back with his stick.
Ivan Stancliff showed great stick handling, stripping the puck from attacking opponents and moving it back up ice.
On offense, the lines were clicking with Ashton Tibbits breaking through on Saturday.
On Sunday, Cooper Shove scored, and Chace Newhouse got a goal on a one-on-one chance and then scored on an assist from Finn Robertson. Then Robertson followed up with his own goal.
Avery Rosamilia was a force on defense and mid-ice, while Calvin James outskated opponents on long passes, creating chances to score. Both games were well played by all teams, with Stowe showing steady improvement.

Stowe Mites
The Stowe Mites traveled to Lyndon for their games on Saturday. Both of the split squad teams played well and skated hard.
Max Romano and Carrick Wright made some outstanding saves in net and played aggressively. After only a few weeks of playing together, the Mites are starting to play well as a team — nice passes, good shots and tough defense.
There were many goals for Stowe, including scores by Cody Lilly and Kate Tilgner and a nice one-timer by Sam Clarkin.
On Sunday, the Mites played a tough team from Essex. Stowe got some great passing by Max Santenello and Ashton Tibbits. Max Romano and Carrick Wright shared the goaltending. Liam Newhouse, Wyatt Lilly and Ian Nolan skated hard and fought for the puck. First-year Mite Logan Thomas almost put one in the net. It was fun to see great teamwork from the girls’ line of Falon Forrest, Kate Tilgner and Isabel Donza. Donza netted multiple goals.
