Squirt A
The team traveled to Highgate on Saturday morning to face a St. Albans A team. Charlie Davidow, Eames Eiden and Hayden Tibbits each scored two goals, and Woody Reichelt had one.
The passing from defense to offense has gotten stronger as this team has found their groove. Strong offensive lines, typically made up of Aaron Lepikko, Bo Graves and Woody Reichelt, and Hayden Tibbits, David Gosselin and Katelyn Prive, are supported by strong defense from Gage Dalliere, Eames Eiden, Charlie Davidow and goalie Andrew Libby. The Stowe players took advantage of a learning opportunity during this game, switching positions to experience play from different vantage points on the ice. Final score: 7-1.
On Sunday the Squirts played in Stowe against the Burlington Amateur Hockey Association, always great competitors; Stowe has had one win and one loss to them so far this season.
During this match, the offensive line of Graves, Reichelt and Lepikko participated in five of the six goals Stowe scored. The other offensive line of Prive, Tibbits and Gosselin aided in the other opportunity. On defense, Gage Dalliere, Charlie Davidow and Eames Eiden consistently kept the puck in Stowe’s zone. Andrew Libby contributed several saves in net when the puck occasionally got through. Final score: 6-1.

Squirt B
On Saturday afternoon, the team traveled to Barre, with Cooper Shove giving a strong showing in his debut in goal. Ashton Tibbits scored Stowe’s sole goal in the first period on a beautiful breakaway. Barre put on the pressure while defensemen Adam Glanz and Nathan Nolan retaliated with constant blocks in front of the goal and clearing the puck out of the zone. Chace Newhouse had some fast breakaways with several shots on goal. The team made many smooth passes and took several shots. Despite a solid team effort, Stowe lost to Barre, 7-1.
On Sunday, Stowe hosted the Burlington Bobcats. A fast-paced game kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Avery Rosamilia and Ivan Stancliff defended the goal. Calvin James made numerous saves while Jesse Brown put on pressure to get the puck on the boards and pass to fellow offenseman Nick Lord. Lord worked hard to clear the puck out of the zone and Nathan Nolan dove in front of the goal to keep Burlington from scoring. Ashton Tibbits put in a goal in the first period, followed by a goal from Chace Newhouse, assisted by Finn Robertson, in the third period. Final score was a tie, 2-2.

Peewees
Last Saturday, the Peewees continued to balance a wide variety of skill levels by composing teams to match appropriate competition. It sets the stage for the unknown but delivers surprises and lessons , which the adrenaline-filled hockey community thrives on.
The morning started early in Stowe with the team playing Essex B. Stowe ended up a 4-3 victory with the help of Henry Paumgarten’s third goal at the buzzer after assisting on Kyle Rahilly’s goal. The difference, besides Sam Abramsohn’s relentless fore-checking, was solid defense led by Jack Hickey, Jordon Goodwin, Nate Libby and goalies Kai Taylor and Ethan Brown.
The Peewees then faced off against Central Vermont Skating Association with a different mix. Atticus Eiden scored after zigzagging through the defense for a pinpoint snap shot, then added three assists. Other scores came from JP Daliere, Rowan Keller and Nick Daliere (with two nice assists by Camden Anderson). The whole team played well, but Rahilly had his first-ever peewee hat-trick. Stowe won, 7-2.
On Sunday after one period, Stowe trailed Missisquoi 5-0 in Highgate. But the cheering crowd was stunned into silence when Stowe scored nine goals in the third period. The lineup of Eiden, Paumgarten, JP Daliere and Keller exploded for 22 points combined. Tough defense came from Colin Scott, Andrew McDermott, Hickey, Anderson and goalie Taylor. Tristan Love provided his usual muscle and determination.
