Peoples Academy track and field athlete Hannah Merriam delivered the track equivalent of a hat trick at the Division III state championship at Green Mountain Union High School Saturday, winning the 100-, 200- and 400-meter races.
Merriam set a new D-III state record in the 400, logging a time of 58.71. Her time in the 100 was 12.65; in the 200, 25.63.
As a team, Peoples came in sixth at the state championship with 41 points. Woodstock won the meet with 131 points.
