To the Editor:
It was with such great sadness that we learned of the passing of Katherine Washburn. She was creative, loving and joyful, and she is truly missed by the board and staff of the North Country Animal League. In her honor, we will place a special memorial stone in our Walk of Fame to remind us of her love of all animals and her generous, loving spirit.
Each time we see a family walking out our door with their new dog or cat, or a group of children learning about responsible pet ownership, we will think of this amazing person we were so lucky to call a friend and supporter.
