The Stowe High School Nordic Ski Team held its lone home meet of the season at Trapp Nordic Center last Thursday, Jan. 9. The varsity boys, the only segment of Stowe’s team with the numbers to qualify for a team finish, placed third behind Harwood and Champlain Valley Union.
Sam Puddicombe was Stowe’s top skier, with a third-place finish in the boys’ race. The McGovern family owned fifth place, with Colleen McGovern coming in fifth for the varsity girls and her brother William McGovern taking fifth for the boys.
