Vibration Solutions North, the Stowe company behind Kin-Dex balance tooling technology, has expanded its facility to accommodate a full balancing service division.
That will be a boon to any manufacturers that use a machining process for rotating components. They can outsource their balancing work to Vibration Solutions, one of only a few such certified facilities in North America.
“We are very pleased to launch this service, and are prepared to serve manufacturers and repair facilities across North America,” said Anderson Leveille, CEO of Moscow Mills Inc., parent company of Vibration Solutions North.
Moscow Mills, located in the Moscow section of Stowe, is a precision prototype machining company.
The company said the outsourcing option for balancing service means that manufacturers don’t have to buy balancing machinery, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars, nor do they have to hire and train staff balancing technicians.
Companies can plow those savings into expanding their service lines or improving their current products.
George Allen will head Vibration Solutions North Balancing Services. Allen is chairman of the SAE EG-1A balancing committee; SAE International is a global association of more than 138,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries.
All balancing processes will be performed on machines calibrated to aerospace standards. Vibration Solutions North can handle any quantity, from balancing a single prototype component to thousands of production parts.
