The Vermont Statehouse

A gubernatorial candidate forum on women's issues will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Vermont Statehouse in Montpelier.

Participating will be Democratic nominee Sue Minter, Republican nominee Phil Scott, and Liberty Union nominee Bill “Spaceman” Lee.

The nonpartisan event is presented by the Vermont Commission on Women, the League of Women Voters of Vermont, and the Vermont Federation of Business and Professional Women. The moderator will be Anne Galloway of VTDigger.org.

Questions for the candidates were drawn from the public, from organizations serving women and girls in Vermont, and from experts in fields such as child care, pay equity and health care.

In addition to prepared questions, there will be time for audience question submissions.

Live video streaming of the forum will be available through ORCA Media’s YouTube channel and live audio streaming via Vermont Public Radio’s Vermont House stream.
