March 31, at 9:52 a.m., someone left the Dunkin Donuts without paying for a pound of coffee.
March 31, at 11:09 a.m., police responded to a reported burglary on Worcester Loop, one of more than a dozen recent break-ins charged to Stowe resident Jasper Goss. Missing was a Samsung TV and $100 in cash.
April 1, at 9:38 a.m., someone reported a car that had been parked on the side of West Shaw Hill Road for a couple of days. The car belonged to a nearby resident.
April 1, at 9:49 a.m., someone was illegally dumping trash into a Park Street Dumpster.
April 1, at 2:27 p.m., attempted burglary on Sugar House Road. No entry, but cleaning crews identified the perpetrator, later identified by police as Goss.
April 1, at 6:52 p.m., police arrested Goss on High Meadow Road, where he was charged with 15 counts of burglary. Police said they also found cocaine on him.
April 1, at 7:16 p.m., reports of a highly intoxicated man stumbling along Weeks Hill Road, but no contact was made.
April 1, at 8:40 p.m., burglary on Forest Way, for which Goss was charged. The door was kicked in, but nothing was reported missing.
April 1, at 8:47 p.m., another burglary on Forest Way, also attributed to Goss. Door kicked in, nothing reported missing.
April 1, at 8:51 p.m., a Bennett Lane burglary attributed to Goss. Forced entry, $60 in Canadian cash taken and possibly a pair of skis.
April 1, at 8:53 p.m., one more home burglary charged to Goss, this one on Sterling Valley Road, where the door was kicked in but nothing was reported missing.
April 2, at 11:21 a.m., a Vermont Ale House employee called police about an aggressive customer.
April 2, at 4:13 p.m., some teenagers in a Subaru were seen tossing a beer can out the window on Luce Hill Road.
April 2, at 11:47 p.m., patrol came upon a car parked on the side of the road near Thompson Park. It was a motorist taking a breather after an argument with her boyfriend.
April 3, at 7:16 a.m., a person reported a threatening note under his windshield. The author threatened to “kill them in their sleep” if he didn’t get his or her “stuff” back. Police are taking the incident seriously but have no leads.
April 3, at 4:15 p.m., a two-car accident on Mountain Road, with no reported injuries.
April 4, at 10:35 a.m., a dog was spotted loose on Taber Hill Road.
April 4, at 11:06 a.m., a Mountain Road resident thought she heard someone in her home.
April 4, at 2:02 p.m., dead raccoon on Mountain Road.
April 4, at 7:47 p.m., car versus deer accident on Maple Street, resulting in substantial front-end damage. The deer ran off.
April 5, at 9:26 a.m., an out-of-state property owner called police to see if there were any moving trucks at his place on Houston Farm Road.
April 6, at 12:37 a.m., police arrested Jonathan P. Turo, 28, of Stowe, for DUI 1, after he hit a tree on Luce Hill Road while reading a text. He was not injured.
April 6, at 11:24 a.m., a report of possible drug paraphernalia in a Mountain Road business turned out to be just some spoons.
April 6, at 3:50 p.m., the Sun and Ski Inn reported a theft of towels, but then withdrew the complaint.
April 6, at 7:35 p.m., someone pumped $63 in gas at the Jolley, but did not pay for it.
April 6, at 9:39 p.m., two people got into an alcohol-fueled fight, but there were no injuries and no charges filed.
