July 20 at 12:15 a.m., loud people reported at Emily’s Bridge; they were gone when police arrived.
July 20 at 7:33 a.m., police charged Jennifer Southworth, 44, of Morrisville with violating conditions of release.
July 20 at 9:01 a.m., a rock was thrown through a rear window of Stowe Community Church on Main Street.
July 20 at 1:38 p.m., a dog was left alone in a car in the Mount Mansfield parking lot near the gondola, and a concerned animal lover called police. The vehicle was gone when they arrived.
July 20 at 1:51 p.m., a wallet was reported lost somewhere in Stowe.
July 20 at 3:10 p.m., a witness called after seeing a driver nearly hit a dog on Ranch Brook Road. Police caught up with the driver and talked to him about the incident.
July 20 at 4 p.m., Morristown police radioed to say a person reported a car driving erratically Stowe-bound. Stowe police caught up with him and issued him a warning for not staying in his lane.
July 20 at 6:24 p.m., Alpine View residents reported hearing gunshots the night prior.
July 20 at 7:50 p.m., a South Main Street apartment landlord and his tenant had a vigorous argument.
July 21 at 11:45 a.m., police found the owner of a car that was parked, sans license plates, outside a row of shops on South Main Street, and gave him a warning for not displaying his tags.
July 21 at 12:40 p.m., a woman on Mountain Road complained that her ex-boyfriend is still using her cellphone account and racking up charges. Police advised her to tell his probation officer.
July 21 at 1:40 p.m., police began investigating a theft; no further details by press time.
July 21 at 2:19 p.m., a small dog was found near the corner of Thomas Lane and Route 100 and returned to its owner.
July 21 at 3:33 p.m., a two-car accident in a Stowe Mountain Resort employee parking lot resulted in no injuries and no charges.
July 21 at 8:41 p.m., police served a citation on behalf of Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department.
July 22 at 1:33 a.m., a Cape Cod Road resident heard someone setting off fireworks.
July 22 at 3:11 p.m., police ran a traffic detail near Sylvan Park Road while Stowe Electric worked on utility lines.
July 22 at 6:20 p.m., reports of a red Honda swerving all over the road on Route 100 south of the village.
July 22 at 9:38 p.m., a person told police they thought they were being scammed over the phone.
July 23 at 8 a.m., a pair of stray dogs in Stowe Hollow were returned to their owners on Gilchrist Road.
July 23 at 9:59 a.m., keys reported lost on the Stowe Recreation Path.
July 23 at 11:48 a.m., a bag of tools may have fallen out of the back of a truck on Cottage Club Road, and the truck/tool owner would like them back if anyone found them.
July 23 at 12:04 p.m., police are looking into a possible burglary at a Cape Cod Road home, with a juvenile suspect.
July 23 at 10:53 p.m., kids hanging out on the under-construction Mountain Road bridge were shooed away.
July 24 at 1:29 a.m., Stowe assisted Morristown police with a traffic stop near Joe’s Pond Road.
July 24 at 9:51 a.m., police delivered meeting information packets to members of the Stowe Select Board.
July 24 at 2:07 p.m., police are investigating the source of graffiti on the railings of the brand new Mountain Road bridge.
July 24 at 4:28 p.m., a handbag found near the Stowe Recreation Path had been stolen in a smash-and-grab from a car at the northern terminus of the path on July 19. The ending would have been happier if the wallet was still in it.
July 24 at 5:29 p.m., a car reported stolen was later reported found.
July 24 at 6:13 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle being driven erratically north on Route 100, and police passed the word along to Morristown police.
July 24 at 10:35 p.m., the owners of a barking dog on Owls Head Lane were asked to keep their pet quiet.
July 25 at 12:03 a.m., police charged Benjamin Wells, 30, of Johnson, with driving under the influence, first offense, on Weeks Hill Road after his blood-alcohol content registered at 0.120 percent in a roadside test. He also got a warning for not using his turn signal.
July 25 at 8:18 a.m., a dog running free down the Main Street sidewalk was apprehended and later reunited with his owner.
July 25 at 9:29 a.m., no charges have been filed in a landlord-tenant dispute on Sachs Pond Lane, yet.
July 25 at 1:36 p.m., a driver crunched into a boulder in the parking area at the Swimming Hole.
July 25 at 7:15 p.m., a wallet was left behind at the Stowe Area Association headquarters.
July 25 at 7:18 p.m., a Notchbrook Road resident gave police a heads-up that a neighbor had been blasting music the night before, and would likely do so again. Police told the person to call if there’s more loud music, and not wait until the next day.
July 25 at 7:23 p.m., police caught up with a driver on Route 100 whose driving had warranted a complaint from a witness. He was warned to stop swerving so much.
July 25 at 8:37 p.m., Gracie’s Restaurant reported that someone had cut power to the business four hours earlier — not Stowe Electric, but someone with mischief on their mind.
July 25 at 10:20 p.m., a congregation of people at Emily’s Bridge dispersed when police asked them to.
July 26 at 6:38 a.m., it seemed suspicious that a person was parked in the middle of Sunset Street, cleaning out a car, but police later found the car parked legally, in a driveway.
July 26 at 6:46 a.m., a North Hollow Road resident thought it was creepy that her ex-boyfriend was peeking in the window, but he left before police arrived.
July 26 at 12:06 p.m., there were reports that a man and woman, who looked a little sketchy, were peering into parked cars at the Stowe Farmers’ Market.
July 26 at 2:23 p.m., police charged Deborah A. Talbot, 53, of Waterbury Center with negligent driving after her pickup truck flipped onto its side across from the Jolley convenience store on South Main Street. No other charges were filed.
July 26 at 5:49 p.m., a driver reportedly passed two cars at once in a 25-mph zone on Moscow Road.
July 26 at 11:17 p.m., a person who was charging an electric vehicle at Grey Fox Inn was asked to unplug and leave.
