Stowe police statistics July 28 to Aug. 3

July 29 at 6:17 p.m., a cell phone found on Main Street was returned.
July 29 at 11:29 p.m., police charged Lindsay D. Royce, 30, of Stowe with driving under the influence No. 1 on Main Street. Royce was also given a warning for not having her car’s headlights on.
July 30 at 2:31 a.m., police checked on an unresponsive person inside a vehicle in the Stowe Recreation Path parking lot. He was intoxicated, and police ticketed him for marijuana possession.
July 30 at 11:36 a.m., two-car accident in the Harvest Market parking lot.
July 30 at 1:43 p.m., a wallet containing some cash was reported missing in Smugglers Notch.
July 30 at 4:23 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old for being on Stowe Free Library property when he had been told previously to stay away. Since juvenile cases are secret under state law, the 17-year-old’s name was not disclosed.
July 31 at 1:38 a.m., police charged Patrick D. Leavey, 23, of Stowe with DUI No. 1 on Main Street. Leavey was also given a ticket for not using his car’s turn signal.
July 31 at 7:39 a.m., a Weeks Hill Road resident said the back window of their Mini Cooper was shot out with either a BB or pellet gun.
July 31 at 8:19 a.m., another vehicle, a Ford Explorer on Mountain Road, may have had its side window shot out. Police are investigating these two incidents, and think they may be linked.
July 31 at 4:17 p.m., an officer spoke to a man playing guitar on Main Street. It is not against the rules, though, and the man played on.
Aug. 1 at 3:11 a.m., police charged Travis M. Hopkins, 32, of Salt Lake City with providing alcohol to minors on Cottage Club Road. Three juveniles were given tickets for underage drinking, too.
Aug. 1 at 2:50 p.m., a stray dog was sighted on Route 100 near the Waterbury town line.
Aug. 1 at 3:01 p.m., two-car accident on School Street; no injuries reported.
Aug. 1 at 3:23 p.m., police checked on Cafe on Main, at the owner’s request. Nothing amiss.
Aug. 2 at 1:19 p.m., a two-car accident at the Route 100-Black Bear Run intersection resulted in four people from one car being taken to the hospital and the driver of the other car getting warnings for speeding and having no registration.
Aug. 2 at 3:38 p.m., Stowe Mountain Rescue looked into a reported rock slide at Moss Glen Falls, but deemed the area safe.
Aug. 2 at 10:06 p.m., someone complained about noise at a Maple Street wedding, but the revelers were just wrapping up the festivities.
Aug. 3 at 11:22 a.m., police returned a stray dog found on Moscow Road to its owner.
Aug. 3 at 12:13 p.m., police served a protective order.
Aug. 3 at 4:54, a purse containing a wallet, one dollar, and personal items was found on Mountain Road.
Note: Charges filed by police are subject to review by the Lamoille state’s attorney office, and can be amended or dropped.

July 26, 10:58 a.m., fire alarm, 710 Notchbrook Lane.
July 26, 10:19 p.m., fire alarm, 60 Dish Lane.
July 28, 1:39 p.m., fire alarm, Mountaineer Motor Lodge, 3343 Mountain Road.
July 28, 6:03 p.m., fire alarm, Commodores Inn, 823 S. Main St.
July 28, 8:23 p.m., fire alarm, 72 S. Main St.
July 31, 3:10 a.m., fire alarm, Stowe Mountain Lodge, 7412 Mountain Road, elevator entrapment.
