Betsy Bishop, executive director of the Vermont State Chamber of Commerce, will speak at a Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce legislative forum on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at the Town & Country Resort, Mountain Road, Stowe.
Anyone interested is welcome. A breakfast buffet begins at 7:45 a.m., Bishop speaks at 8 and the forum ends at 9.
Bishop will talk about new laws passed this year, and preview issues anticipated in 2016. Among them are tourism and economic development marketing, labor mandates and economic growth.
Bishop will also explain the Impact List, a compilation of new money bills, taxes and regulations passed this year. The Vermont Chamber developed the list to help inform members about financial impacts on their companies.
