The Tree of Lights on the Stowe village green is an annual fundraiser and a time to support local hospices during this holiday time. Virtual lightbulbs cost just $1 and are a great way to “remember loved ones, honor essential workers, health care professionals, family, friends and neighbors who give to us in many ways, and to express gratitude big or small.”

A late afternoon snowfall makes driving a bit scary, but the scenery merry.
The nor’easter forecasted to hit northern Vermont this past weekend failed to materialize, instead dumping snow on parts of New England further east. Some snow did fall over the weekend, with small amounts continuing to drop on Lamoille County earlier this week. Temperatures dipped into the teens too, and while some rain is in the forecast for the coming days there should be snow and colder temperatures to help the ski industry get its 2020 season fully launched.
